Welcome to the home of X-Roads.
A travel show with edge.
So we filmed another segment of X-Roads the other week… Red Rocks..
This run is just behind the shopping centre at Tuggeranong.. 5 mins from civilization and a whole world away… it really is a classic X-Roads spot as it is so close to everything.
Thanks to Swainey, Darlo , Carl, Nick and others who helped out…
So we went and filmed at the Pinch on Sunday 14th August.
The Snowy River was running at 1.5 meters so there was a fair bit of flow.
We found it a bit hard going paddling against the current to try and get in our water worn rocks area.
Below are some screen grabs from the shoot.
Well it’s been a busy month getting the next batch of stories together.. from flying in Hot Air Balloons and Ultra-Lites to paddling the Murrumbidgee river and driving the Pinch.. hopefully we’ll get to shoot at the end of the month..
Carly’s piece from X-Roads to broadcast Sunday 29th at 7.30pm and Weds 1st at 9pm Aurora Channel (Foxtel/Austar Channel 183) and TransTV (4 times per day for one week) from Friday 27th.
Carly takes us up into back country ACT – Namadgi National Park and Yankee Hat. Located literally in the backyard of the Canberra, Yankee Hat, has beautiful scenery with amazing wildlife, and ancient aboriginal rock paintings, it is a spectacular piece of country.
Darlo’s segment about riding the environmental flow release from Jindabyne to Dalgety went on air Sunday night (22nd May) at 7.30pm.
Gabi Elgood hosted the show from Channel Vision. Looked good… Darlo did well…
There’s another screening wednesday 25th May at 9pm – Aurora – Foxtel/Austar (channel 183)
